St. Joseph - Kibwabwa pre and primary school adheres to rigorous NECTA syllabus. It is a comprehensive pre and primary education. Pupils sit for intra-school exams every year and at the end of standard six a National Examination is administered to all the respective class six pupils. Progression to the next grade is based on the performance on the annual examinations.
A year is divided into two terms (semesters) each having 4 monthly tests per subject and each topic exercise is recorded to assess each pupil as average to be added to terminal and annual score mark per cent. At the end of the course of 6 years there is a final National Examination that is instituted by the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) to establish the final assessment of each pupil.
